IF you are not aware of the type of money products pitchmen make, then hold on to your hat because there are two main types of product demonstrators, those who work mostly part time giving out food sames in supermarkets and in the mall, and even though some of them make a great hourly wage, their hours are limited. These types of positions are great for the elderly as well as students, just trying to make a little extra income to get by. What I am talking about in this book, is the secret society of seasoned pitchmen who hawk products anywhere and everywhere, from stores to malls from state fairs to boat and car shows, basically anywhere there are people. I know first hand about this business because it was my first real foray into selling, and it gave me the confidence to not only get up and speak in front of people, but it provide the money for me to give my family a better life. Don't take my word but go out and research the information for yourself. I went all over the country selling as seen on TV products, from anti fog eyeglass cleaner to the Ginsu Knife and Miracle Vegetable slicer. I started out in Qeens, New York in a WoolWorth's department store, and I even worked the sidewalks at 14th street, and Delancy Street, in Manhattan. Anyone one can do this work, you just have to have the will. As high as unemployment is, we all need to stop complaining and start working, remember the way to get to the top, is to get up off of your bottom, and start moving towards the top. While we all wont make the kind of money Billy Mays and other notable pitchmen, there is still plenty of money out there to be made, if we just go out there and get it. Abraham Lincoln said, “good things may come to those who wait, but only what's leftover by those who hustle.” It's time for us to get our hustle on, this is literally one of the most challenging economic climates in modern history, we can either be a victim or a conqueror, I choose the latter. Take charge of your financial destiny, for man catches hell, so long as he believes himself to be the victim of outside conditions and circumstances.
